Hotel: Case №73 Walkthrough — How to Solve the Case

Free single-player story game (DEMO) · horror shooter adventure · browser, no download

Hotel: Case №73 is a free single-player horror-shooter adventure that runs in your browser. You are an FBI investigator assigned to the file on "Hotel №73" — a building that was both hotel and apartment block before it burned down years ago — and a man named Bruce is tangled somewhere in what happened. The official game page is bilingual Russian/English, the game is openly labeled a DEMO, and there is no walkthrough for it anywhere yet. This page is the first: the case's opening moves, the items that matter, the door that fights back, and the neighborhood the newest update opened up.

What Is Hotel: Case №73?

Hotel: Case №73 is a story-driven single-player DEMO by the spawn.co creator @ilaf, tagged by its author as shooter, horror and adventure. You explore the ruined hotel and its surroundings, read what the case files and the building itself remember, fight when the building answers back, and try to establish what actually happened in the fire — and what Bruce has to do with it. It launched October 24, 2026 and has been updated seven times since, including a major "Big Update" on October 26 that added a whole construction-site area.

Set expectations like an investigator: this is a DEMO, not a finished case. The Steam-style polish is not there and the story does not fully close. What is there — a moody burnt hotel, item hunting, a genuinely mean ambush or two — is exactly what a how-to-solve guide should cover.

How to Solve Hotel: Case №73 (DEMO Walkthrough)

  1. Work the hotel first. The opening area is the ruined hotel itself. Explore floor by floor, read every note, and keep your eight-slot item wheel in mind — you cannot hoard everything, so drop nothing you have not yet examined.
  2. Find the bedroom key and open the fire door. The bedroom key opens the fire door directly — walk up to it and use the left mouse button. This is the main path deeper into the case; if a door refuses you, it is either the famous 7B (see below) or you are missing the key.
  3. Get the shotgun from under the sofa by Bruce's window. Under the sofa beneath Bruce's window lies a shotgun with six shells. Take it the moment you find it — those six rounds are the only way through the door of room 7B, so do not spend them casually on single enemies.
  4. Blow open room 7B — and be ready for what comes out. The shotgun is the only thing that opens 7B, and the room answers with a rush of enemies: three axe-wielders and three barrel-carriers. Back up into the corridor before shooting the door so the ambush funnels toward you instead of surrounding you.
  5. Check the power room. A hostile who uses a chair hides in the power-distribution room. He is the source of the shuffling you hear on that floor — deal with him before you try any of the building's machinery.
  6. Read the note about George in the blue container. Outside, a blue shipping container holds a note concerning a man named George. It is a case-file beat, not a key item — but it is the thread the story hangs on, so read it before you move on.
  7. Take the case outside: the construction site. The Big Update added a construction site with a crane, a sign tower and a rooftop fight. The site's centerpiece puzzle is electrical: restore power to the site and the grille rises, opening the way forward. Look for the power route first; the fight is on the other side of it.
